The Project name is “OWENSBORO PUBLIC SCHOOLS, OWENSBORO HIGH SCHOOL ELECTRICAL PANEL REPLACEMENT, OWENSBORO, KENTUCKY”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C. Drawings and specifications are dated November 25, 2024.
Project Description: The Work consists of: the replacement of existing switchgear/electrical panel and the door into the electrical room at the cafeteria of High School.
The Work includes, but is not limited to selective demolition, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, finish hardware, painting, and clean-up and removal of construction debris.
Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents. Proposals shall be sealed and clearly marked for OHS attention of Mr. John David Sandefur, CFOO. No bids will be accepted via email or fax.
Proposals will be received on February 18, 2025, until 2:00 PM prevailing time, at the Owensboro Board of Education office at 450 Griffith Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. No immediate decision shall be rendered concerning the proposals submitted. The OPS Board shall formally consider these bids at the next Board meeting after the bids are opened, contingent upon final tabulation of the bids prior to the Board meeting. This next regularly scheduled board meeting date is February 27, 2025. All vendors who submit a bid will be notified of the successful bidder after the bid has been awarded by the School Board.
A prebid conference will be held on February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, prevailing time, at the Owensboro Board of Education office at 450 Griffith Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.
Two sets of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812-464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars for each set of Documents. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Checks covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Owensboro Public Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
Electronic copies of the documents are available from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, IN. (812-464-8108). Charges to obtain electronic copies are non-refundable and are to be arranged with, and paid directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue.
