The Daviess County Board of Education will receive lump sum sealed bids on a prime contract for reroofing Southwest Elementary School and Calloway County Middle School, and related work as indicated.
The Project name is “CALLOWAY COUNTY SCHOOLS, CALLOWAY COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL REROOFING, SOUTHWEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REROOFING”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C., Owensboro, Kentucky. Drawings and specifications are dated October 15, 2024.
Project Description: Reroofing work at two schools. The Work Includes, but is not limited to miscellaneous carpentry, modified bituminous membrane roofing, membrane reroofing preparation, sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.
1. Southwest Elementary School: Tear-off two layers of roofing, including cover board between, and provide new Modified Bitumen roof with insulation and new cover board, including roof drain inserts and sheet metal.
2. Calloway County Middle School: Tear off top layer of roof, and provide new Modified Bitumen roof with insulation and new cover board, including new gutters and downspouts and sheet metal.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on November 14, 2024 at the Calloway County Board of Education, 2110 College Farm Rd, Murray, KY 42071, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Prime contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Calloway County Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with, and paid directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
