CAVERNA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS, CULINARY KITCHEN RENOVATION

The Project name is “CAVERNA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS, CULINARY KITCHEN RENOVATION”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C. Drawings and specifications are dated August 2, 2024.

Project Description: The project consists of renovation of the existing Home Ec. classroom into a Culinary Kitchen Space and consists of approx. 2487 SF.

The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, chain link fences and gates, cast-in-place concrete, miscellaneous carpentry, plastic paneling, joint sealants, gypsum board assemblies, painting, mechanical, plumbing and electrical, and clean-up and removal of construction debris. The detailed language specific to each bid package is located in section 01900 of the project manual.

Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for each bid package for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents.

Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Caverna Independent Board of Education office at 1102 North Dixie Hwy, Cave City, KY 42127 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A prebid conference will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM, prevailing time, at the Caverna Independent Board of Education office at 1102 North Dixie Hwy, Cave City, KY. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.

One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812-464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Checks covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Caverna Independent Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.

Electronic copies of the documents are available from Maco/Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, IN. (812-464-8108). Charges to obtain electronic copies are non-refundable and are to be arranged with, and paid directly to, Maco/Evansville Blue.

Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids.
