DAVIESS COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL H. S. BASEBALL FIELDS AND M. S. TRACKS

The Daviess County Public Schools will receive lump sum sealed bids on a general contract for improvements to Apollo High School Baseball Field, Daviess County High School Baseball Field, Burns Middle School Track and College View Middle School Track.

Project Description:

Apollo High School Baseball Field: Provide sub-grade, drainage, and other support facilities to support a new turf field (By Others) for the Baseball Field. Work also includes fencing, concrete curbs, sports equipment, and related work.

Daviess County High School Baseball Field: Provide sub-grate, drainage, and other support facilities to support a new turf field (By Others) for the baseball field. This also includes site grading, new hitting facility / locker room, dugouts and backstop netting and poles, concrete drives and walks, fencing, concrete curbs, sports equipment, and related work.

Burns Middle School Track: Replace 6-Lane asphalt track and subbase, striping and includes regrading of the football field and track and site drainage. Sprigging of grass will be required. See Alternate Bid #1. Work also includes high jump and LJ/TJ events.

College View Middle School Track: Replace 6-Lane asphalt track and subbase, striping, reworking of drains and adding a high jump and LJ/TJ area.

The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, building demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, subdrainage, asphalt paving, chain link fences and gates, lawns and grasses, base construction and related subsurface work for artificial grass field, track striping, cast-in-place concrete, precast modular block retaining wall, ornamental handrails and railings, Rough carpentry, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, sectional overhead doors, door hardware, visual display boards, post and panel signs, fire protection specialties, sports equipment, pre-engineered wood building system, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.

Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the maintenance office of the Owner at 1621 Southtown Boulevard, Owensboro, Kentucky, 42301, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A prebid conference will be held at 10:00 AM, prevailing time, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the maintenance office of the Owner at 1621 Southtown Boulevard, Owensboro, Kentucky, 42301. Afterwards, there will be visits to the site locations. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.

One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Ohio County Public Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
